Aside from that it was worth the experience!! They have vending machines for cigarrettes. Also, beware that they allow smoking inside the club which is horrible for us non-smokers. On the other hand if you just pay $20 for the entrance and pay for your own drinks which range between $7-8 USD you can get a drink quicker at ANY bar because most people will be at the Open Bar. We ended up getting only 2 drinks because we didn't want to spend the whole night waiting to get a drink. They will not give multiple drinks to a single person for other people. The worst part is that each person has to get their own drink as you need to show your open bar bracelet to get a drink. The reason is they only had 2 Open bars which were packed with people trying to get a drink. We had a blast! We paid $55 for the open bar and actually regret it. It was an absolute spectacle!! They had dancers with lighting costumes, fireworks, balloons and confetti coming down from the top. The second room had a DJ from Spain playing tecno along with Top 40 songs. The first room that we walked into was playing merengue, bachata, reggaeton and dembow. The line to get in was long but it moved quickly and it was worth the wait. It is amazing! It is not a club built as a cave it's a club inside an actual cave. He serves on the Editorial Board of Psychiatric Times. This club is a must if you go to Punta Cana. So, although I am late with this, let’s extend the celebration of friends over the weekend!ĭr Moffic is an award-winning psychiatrist who has specialized in the cultural and ethical aspects of psychiatry. But it is never too late to develop new friends or revive old friendships. The Surgeon General, as I wrote in a previous column, has warned us about loneliness and false friends on social media. Watch out for them, as they use you for themselves. Sometimes, though, unfortunately, there can be false friends. Of course, marital partners, like my Rusti, can sometimes also be best friends, too-marital best friends. Good friends are so important for good mental health: companionship, self-esteem, there when you need them, constructive criticism, and so much more. My way of grieving has included watching and listening to YouTube videos of Dionne Warwick and friends performing “That’s What Friends Are For.” I gauge how well my grief is going by how much I cry. My wife did remind me without realizing it yesterday by talking to me about our friends as we were driving to the airport to see a friend at a music festival in Ojai. I guess my omission has something to do with my continuing grieving. My old best friend? Barry Marcus, best friend for 70 years, died unexpectedly about 6 months ago. I forgot, otherwise I would have written something yesterday about it!īut to my rescue was my new best friend, Randy Levin, a retired emergency physician. Did you remember that yesterday was National Best Friends Day yesterday? It has been for about 90 years in the United States and Canada.
